Activatory proteins of the specialized metabolite Coelimycin

This publication was the result of a nice collaboration with Bartosz Bednarz, scientist established at Wroclaw and specialized in Streptomyces metabolism. Back in 2018, he and Kuba Pawlik contacted the PAPPSO proteomics facility asking for ideas to conduct a high-throughput analysis on their favorite bacteria.
Since I had some experience with proteomics on Streptomyces and I was working at PAPPSO at that time, we carried out an experimental design in a couple of months, the wet lab in Poland and Mass spectrometry in France.
During this short but intense experience, I had the chance to show Bartosz how to analyze proteomics data with free (from the freedom point of view) bioinformatic tools. After the process of data mining, he unraveled a nice biological story concerning the regulatory proteins involved in the production of the, still mysterious, specialized metabolite Coelimycin.
